Getting To Know - RainCityKnits

The Getting To Know series over on Oh My! Handmade Goodness features interviews with makers, artists, designers and small business owners at all different stages of their careers. I'm always interested in how other adventurers in the world of creative entrepreneurship run their businesses, get inspired and how / why they got their starts.

For the first feature of 2015, we're diving headlong into bold delicious colour with Krista Steel-Varsakis of RainCityKnits. Even if you're not a knitter, I think you'll love meeting Krista (and you've got to see these luscious pictures!)

Totally Design Thank You Cards

The thing about running a small business is, there is almost always a long list of things you would like to do if you could only find the time / money / inspiration. I love coming across a clever tip like this one or product which solves a problem or makes your life easier. That's at least part of the story behind these cards.

We used to send out thank you code cards with all our orders a few years ago, but then we ran out and life and business and all that other stuff happened and I thought about making new ones... maybe not all the time... but I definitely thought about. But the problem is, thinking about things rarely makes them materialize out of thin air. Thinking really hard about a caramel macchiato... and nothing.

So, if you're like me - businesses that make your business easier are pretty fantastic finds. Anne over at Totally Design specializes in making these clever thank you postcards. You simply pick your favourite, buy the file, do a little add your own info action and print them on your computer. Easy gratitude right there.

Or if you're feeling a bit fancy (I'm pretty much always feeling fancy), you can have your cards customized - check out those stripy backs - and printed professionally.

Thanks Anne for making my life easier!

Look out for one of these cards in your next Omiyage order!

Have you come across any clever tips that make your life so much easier lately? Or have a business that offers a helpful service like Totally Designs' thank you cards? I'd love to hear about it in the comments!
