The Kirigami Project - Week 22 - Stars

Happy June! Let's ease into the new month with a simple design - stars! Well, a star inside a star (inside a star?), that is. Perfect for celebrating these warm summer star-gazing nights that have suddenly arrived.

The 5-point folding pattern is actually quite conducive to cutting stars - it's a great folding technique to have in your back pocket in case you're ever in need of star cut-outs and more accurate that the good old intersecting lines thing.

To create your own kirigami stars, use the template below and the 5-Point Folding Pattern.

Happy crafting! Don't forget to share your kirigami paper cuts on social media with the hashtag #thekirigamiproject

The Kirigami Project is a collaborative creative project from Marisa Edghill of Omiyage and Geri Jewitt of The Languid Lion. Marisa creates the kirigami designs and Geri whips them into template shape! Each week In 2014, we will bring you a new kirigami design to fold and cut.
