5 Minute DIY - Washi Tape Stickers

Have a roll of special washi tape that you're not quite sure what to do with? Why not make stickers?

Simply stick your washi tape to a piece of waxed/parchment paper and cut out the designs. Et voila - washi tape stickers!

What would you use these for? I'll show you how I'm using them in our next blog post.

  2. I love this tip, but -- I tried the wax paper method to make stickers for Easter eggs -- the wax paper (Cut Rite brand) was too thin, so I couldn't separate the tape from the paper. I think parchment paper will probably work much better.

    1. I'm sorry to hear that you had trouble with the waxed paper. I do find some papers work better than others - I usually end up using the backing papers of our shipping labels which are indeed thicker than waxed paper. I hope that you have better luck with parchment paper. I just did a quick test with parchment and waxed paper and both worked for me. However, I do find that one side of the paper works better than the other. If you apply the tape to the waxed side, it grabs on pretty tightly and is difficult get an edge to peel the sticker off. If you apply to the non-waxed side, it is much easier to remove.
